Griffin isn't the first pro athlete to get gifts from complete strangers (by now I'm sure Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari have even air max 90 gotten those "fish tweezers" everyone was talking about), but he should probably be the last.

Sure, it's fun to think about Griffin opening up that $30 ice bucket you sent along with that super clever "In case you KNEE-d it!" note. Truth is, he's probably not opening it, nor is he likely to see your note. One of his three nike air max 1 assistants threw out the note, along with the box, and any memory of your existence.

He won't remember you when you yell "I got you that gravy boat!" at training camp this summer, and he won't be sending you those hand towels you're registered for before you tie the knot in the fall.

I know what you're thinking: "Lighten up, Francis."

And you're probably right: It's just a fun cheap nike air max way for fans to connect with their idols. But ya know, the older I get, the more curmudgeonly I become. And this whole trend of sending some crazy-rich athlete a wedding gift he'll never know came from you just seems a little silly to me.
